The Harbor Course at Wild Dunes Resort:

The Harbor Course at Wild Dunes Resort, Tom Fazio’s other creation on this island, has gained a reputation as a sturdy challenge despite its shorter length.  The course parallels the Intracoastal Waterway and provides beautiful views of the adjacent lagoons and salt marshes.  A thoughtful plan of attack and accurate shot making are recommended on the Harbor Course.  Considered by Fazio as “one of his favorites”, the Harbor Course doesn’t look intimidating from the scorecard, but don’t let that fool you.  A mix of short and long holes blend together which require patience from the golfer as you play alongside the Intracoastal or what locals call, “the world’s longest water hazard”.   Birds, deer, squirrels, raccoons and no doubt reptiles thrive in the pristine low country bordering both sides of the course. Be sure to wave “Ahoy” to captains as they quietly pass on their way in and out of Wild Dunes Yacht Harbor located within the course confines.

Wild Dunes Golf Getaway

Like many coastal areas of the south, a wide range of activities for golfers and non-golfers alike are within reach.  The area nearest Isle of Palms, namely Charleston, South Carolina, has played a dramatic and crucial role in our nation’s history.   With a mild climate throughout the year, attractions and activities indoors as well as out, are numerous.

The Links Course

A young Tom Fazio started his career working with his uncle George and learning the golf design business. The Links Course at Wild Dunes was Tom Fazio's first solo design and opened in 1979 and then he returned in 2015 for an update and redesign which included larger greens, concrete cart paths and a new irrigation system. The course is a lovely layout with a good variety of holes and interesting green complexes. The last 4 holes are a nice closing stretch that offers holes along the marsh and ocean.  It is always ranked among the best you can play in South Carolina and one that we are sure our participants will enjoy.
Practice facilities are located across from The Links clubhouse and include a driving range, chipping area and putting green.
