Our members will stay in the Westin's Traditional King Ocean View guest rooms which face the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean. You can take in spectacular ocean views from your balcony. Corales Golf Course is designed by Tom Fazio and opened in 2010. Corales is an exclusive and dramatic 18-hole course with six Caribbean Oceanside holes. The exhilarating challenge culminates playing the Devil’s Elbow, Corales’s last three holes. Anani
Ananí Restaurant offers contemporary breakfast, lunch and dinner.The breakfast is a buffet and offers and excellent selection with lots of tasty hot and cold choices available of both the American and Dominican variety. There are also several choices of tropical juices and fruits. Lots of pastries, great tasting coffee, and more. A buffet is also offered for dinner most evenings with a nice variety of different selections.

The Grill
This Caribbean-Mediterranean grill commands breathtaking views of La Cana Golf Course and the sparkling Caribbean Sea. A perfect bookend to a round of golf, El Grill is conveniently located at La Cana Golf & Beach Club. El Grill is the ideal destination for a casual beachfront lunch or dinner. If you prefer lighter fare, we serve a wide variety of options, including an artfully prepared Caesar salad with greens from our organic gardens. Reservations not required. Playa Blanca
Playa Blanca is one of the resort's most popular dining venues for both lunch and dinner since it is located beach side overlooking the Caribbean sea. This tropical restaurant and bar serves fresh local seafood, grilled meats, and cocktails for lunch and dinner daily. The lobster risotto gets high marks! Live music by local musicians featured weekly.

Brassa Grill & Bar
The Brassa Grill & Bar showcases American heritage such as USDA Prime steaks. The restaurant is open air and is located near the beach. You hear the waves as you dine and can see the water lapping the shore. The food seafood is very fresh and the ceviche is excellent. The wait staff is very friendly and tries hard. I suggest this restaurant for dinner and note that is a very romantic location.

Punta Espada Golf Course is a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design Golf Course located in Cap Cana, about 25 minutes from the Westin Punta Cana Resort.
Punta Espada Golf Club is ranked as the best golf course in the Caribbean and Mexico by GolfWeek. It is the only course in the Dominican Republic that has hosted a PGA Tour event and is also home to a PGA Senior Tour Champion’s Tour stop. Punta Espada is an exclusive championship golf course located inside the Cap Cana Real Estate project. This 7,000 yard par 72 Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course has 8 holes along the Caribbean ocean and you can see the ocean from all 18 holes.

Westin Punta Cana Resort, Dominican Republic

The Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park and Reserve: A 1,500-acre private reserve owned and maintained by the Ecological Foundation, the Park and Reserve are set aside for scientific research, conservation of native and endangered species, and recreational activities of our guests. The Ecological Reserve is comprised of a network of trails that lead to 12 freshwater lagoons and provides habitat for an abundance of birds, reptiles, insects, and other local flora and fauna. The Ecological Park is an interpretive trail that features distinct attractions related to the natural and cultural history of the island, including an iguana habitat, petting zoo, sugarcane exhibition and a fruit tree garden.
Protecting the Ridgway Hawk is an ongoing mission at the Reserve. The Ridgway’s Hawk (Buteo ridgwayi) is found only on the island of Hispaniola and is one of the rarest animals in the world. With a total population of just 300 remaining individuals in the wild, the Ridgway’s Hawk is highly threatened with extinction due to habitat loss and indiscriminate hunting of the hawks.The Puntacana Ecological Foundation has teamed with the Hispaniola Ornithological Society (SOH) and the Peregrine Fund in an attempt to increase the population of these hawks through controlled reintroductions in the Punta Cana region coupled with a comprehensive environmental education program. Since 2009, the project has successfully reintroduced eight hawks into the Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park and Reserve. The end goal is create and sustain a breeding population.

Horseback Riding at El Rancho in Punta Cana: The resort offers one and two hour beach rides daily and a romantic hour long weekly sunset adventure. For newcomers, we’ve prepared a special ride called Meet Puntacana, a unique tour of our beautiful resort. The cost for this is NOT part or our package.
As a new service to resort guests, they are now offering adult riding classes for beginners. Learn the basics in horse care and riding; then test your new skill on one of our beach tours. For the younger horse fans, our ponies and school horses are ready to teach them all they need to know about the great sport of riding. And don’t miss the opportunity to check out some of the beautiful horses that are boarding with us.
Playa Blanca: When people speak of Playa Blanca, they refer to the beach that the Westin Punta Cana is facing. The Caribbean water is crystal clear, lagoon-like as you can walk for quite a distance without getting in over your head. The water almost appears white in some areas. The sand is oh so white, with palm trees and gardens lining the beach. This is a peaceful peaceful place and an ideal location to relax after a round of golf.
The SFGA last visited Punta Cana in 2018 and we enjoyed a week of sun and fun and great golf at the Punta Cana Resort. All who participated enjoyed the trip and found the resort to be most accommodating and comfortable. The Punta Cana Resort and Club's Westin Beachfront Hotel will be home to our group once again in 2022. The Westin Punta Cana Resort & Club features miles of white-sand beaches, water sports, restaurants, two championship golf courses, and the consistantcy of Marriott's Westin brand. The resort provides free shuttle service around the resort, so you can enjoy the golf courses, tennis center, full-service spa, 87,000-foot aquatic playground and the nearby shopping village.

Corales is also home of the first PGA TOUR Event held in the Dominican Republic. The forth edition of the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship will be hosted from March 21 to 27, 2022 at Corales Golf Club, the exclusive 18-hole course with miles of natural cliffs and majestic coralina quarries; where more than 132 professional players will have the chance to earn points of the FedExCup. Our SFGA members can also watch the event on the Golf Channel to see how the PGA Tour Pros play the same holes you played a month earlier!
Please note:
- Air is an additional expense that is not included as part of this package. Participants should fly in and out of Punta Cana International Airport(PUJ). Most major airlines fly to Punta Cana and with the abundance of flights available, you can fly direct to Punta Cana from these major cities: Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, New York, Newark, Montreal, Philadelphia, and Toronto.
- Fore - Caddies are mandatory for each of the rounds we'll play, the fee and tip is not included in your package and will be an additional expense. The recommended fee and tip at Corales and Punta Espada is $25 per golfer. The Fore - Caddies at La Cana are optional, however the same $25 fee and tip is recommended. The fee and the gratuity is paid in US Dollars or Dominican Pesos directly to the Fore - Caddy at the completion of each round. It cannot be charged to your room.
P.B. Dye launched the golf boom in Punta Cana back in 2001 when he designed the La Cana Course at Puntacana Resort and Club. The area now boasts nearly a dozen courses but our members will only play the top three; La Cana, Punta Espada and Corales. Both La Cana and Corales are located on the large grounds of the Punta Cana Resort. Punta Espada is in the nearby Cap Cana development about 20 minutes away. I've had the good fortune to travel and golf all over the world and I can't remember playing three such outstanding courses that are so close to each other.
La Cana Golf Course at the PUNTACANA Resort & Club, is one of the longest in the Caribbean. P.B. Dye landscaped the oceanfront layout into a voluptuous course reminiscent of a Matisse sculpture. The Caribbean Sea is visible on 14 of the 18 holes all of which take advantage of the natural splendor of the country's eastern most point. La Cana is certainly among the better courses in the Caribbean and one of the best in the Dominican Republic. Golf Magazine has compared La Cana to Pebble Beach and declared it the “number one course in the Caribbean.” That is high praise, but I actually think both Punta Esada and Corales are even better!!!
