Hoover Dam Tours:  The Hoover Dam is a world–famous concrete arch–gravity dam that is located less than an hour from the JW Marriott Las Vegas on the border between Nevada and Arizona. It impounds the mighty Colorado River in the Black Canyon. The dam was designated a National Historic Landmark by congress in 1985. More than 8 million people a year visit the dam and many take Hoover Dam tours.  The dam is 726 feet tall and nearly a 1/4–mile long. It is 660 feet wide at its base and has enough concrete to build thousands of miles of interstate.  If you are traveling to Las Vegas, one of the United States' most popular travel destinations, experiencing Hoover Dam tours is a must. It is one of the top sightseeing attractions in the Las Vegas area. A variety of different types of Hoover Dam tours are offered. Most tour companies operate out of Las Vegas and will pick visitors up from their hotels. Visitors can take private tours, group tours, bus tours, helicopter tours, or airplane tours of the dam. Tours can typically be either a half–day or full day, or just a few hours if you take a helicopter tour. If you would like to stay near the dam, the nearest town is Boulder City, Nevada, eight miles to the west. For more information: https://www.usbr.gov/lc/hooverdam/

Paiute's Snow Mountain Golf Course was the first of the three courses designed by Pete Dye opening in 1994. As one of Dye’s trademarks, the course is littered with railroad ties around many of the bunkers. Snow Mountain has generously wide fairways and it's a good thing as it gives you a fair chance of staying out of the pot bunkers and lakes that seem to be placed right where your shot may want to go. Along with the Bentgrass greens, Las Vegas Paiute Snow Mountain has seven holes with water, the traditional Dye railroad-tie bunkers, dogleg finishing holes, and a progressive layout. It's also rated as the number one course in Nevada voted by the annual Golfers' Choice lists generated by GolfPass.

Event Details:

Circus Show at Circus Circus Hotel. The show features juggling, aerial acrobatics, trapeze stunts, and clowns. The show is held throughout the day on the floor above the main casino. While you would think it's always a family friendly show, one show was by a man and woman who were scantily clad and groping each other in provocative poses, apparently somewhat 'acrobatic' in nature. It was awkward seeing little 4 year olds watch that from the front row.

TPC Las Vegas Golf Course was previously known as TPC at The Canyons and it has some of the richest PGA TOUR history in all of Las Vegas.  From 1996-2006, the TPC Las Vegas hosted the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children Open, the Bard Capital Challenge and the Las Vegas Senior Classic. During that time, some of the world’s best golfers and major title winners — Phil Mickelson, John Daly, Hale Irwin and Jim Furyk — have graced the fairways of the TPC Las Vegas.  The TPC Las Vegas golf course offers an incomparable level of play and challenge for every skill set. The club’s par-71, 7,104 yard championship golf course designed by acclaimed architect Bobby Weed and World Golf Hall of Famer Raymond Floyd, is commonly referred to as “desert elegance.”  The JW Marriott also offers shuttle service to/from the club.

Angel Park Golf Club's Palm Course - Located across the street from the JW Marriott is one of the iconic golf clubs in Las Vegas, the Angel Park golf facility, this club boasts two 18 hole layouts, a the Cloud 9 short course and the Devine 9 Miniature Golf/Putting Course. The club is owned and operated by the city and what sets it apart from other municipally owed golf facilities is the course conditions. They do a nice job keeping the courses in great shape. And that is important when you have a golf course that is built in the desert! You will experience lush tees, fairways and greens.

The Palm Course opened in 1989 and was designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer and has views of the Red Rock Mountains as well as the Las Vegas Strip. The Palm Course is not a long layout but poses challenges to golfers with difficult putting surfaces, perfectly positioned sand bunkers and par 3's that will require great precision. The par 5's are opportunities to make up some strokes and the par 4's will test your accuracy from tee to green. It is a great course to start our Vegas Golf Adventure!

Angel Park Golf Club's - Devine 9 Miniture Golf/Putting Course

This fun-filled layout features real grass putting surfaces highlighted with dogleg fairways, rough and a creative use of bunkers, rock outcroppings and water hazards that are fun for the whole family.  The putting course is also lighted for night play. One admission per person is included as part of our Resort Fee at the JW Marriot Las Vegas and it includes putter rental, 2 golf balls, and you may go around twice to complete 18 holes.
