- Portstewart Golf Club (Strand Course) – Rated 3rd Best in the country by Golf Monthly 2023 and host of the 2017 Irish Open, won by Jon Rahm.
- Royal Portrush Golf Club – British Open host course of 2019 and 2025. We’ll play here 5 weeks after the Open Championship concludes.
- Ardglass Golf Club – Seaside home of the world's oldest clubhouse dating back to 1405AD with stunning sea views.
- Royal County Down Golf Club – World #1 ranking by Golf Digest (World’s 100 Greatest Courses 2022-2023). Host of the 2007 Walker Cup and The Senior
Open Championships in 2000, 2001 and 2002.
- This trip will have no Tournaments and the golf will be stress-free & fun.

What do the Game of Thrones, Peace Walls, the Titanic, C.S. Lewis, Sir Kenneth Branagh and Van Morrison have in common with the World’s Best Golf Course? They are all home to or made in Northern Ireland. Bob traveled to Northern Ireland back in October to visit the hotels & courses and work out everything logistically. Even though we are still waiting to finalize agreements with a few courses, we have verbal commitments and are ready to open up registrations for what promises to be an outstanding bucket list trip.
We'll start and finish in Dublin as DUB offers the best availability of flights. We'll play six rounds of golf and combine sightseeing and time for exploration when we're not golfing. We'll spend 2 nights in Dublin, 5 nights in Derry and 3 nights in New Castle. We'll play Royal Portrush (host of the 2025 British Open), Royal County Down (#1 rated course in the world according to Golf Digest), Portstewart, Castlerock, Ardglass and Jameson Links. Accommodations will be in 3 superior class hotels and our chauffeur will drive our chartered motor coach as we experience the best of Northern Ireland.
The trip is limited to the first 20 lucky SFGA members who register and we suggest you register early as this is likely to sell out soon.

In Ireland golfers usually walk. However, carts are available for the rounds we play at Jameson Golf Links, Castlerock and Ardglass. The cost of the carts is additional and average about 40 pounds per round. If you want carts at these courses please let us know at least 120 days prior to the trip so we may reserve them for you. Caddies are available upon request; please reserve in advance and ideally at the time of booking to avoid disappointment. Single Caddie fees average £60 - £85 payable to your caddie on the day (plus an optional gratuity at the player's discretion).
