Mission Inn Resort
Howey In The Hills, FL
March 18-21, 2012
Mission Inn is a privately owned Mobil Four Star rated resort offering a unique blend of casual elegance, good service, and world-class recreation. The history surrounding the resort is interesting, a wealthy meat packer from Chicago, Nick Beucher, had once traveled to Mexico and the Spanish Colonial style of architecture made a lasting impression on him. He returned home and years later read of the availability of the Floridian Country Club, in Howey in the Hills, and purchased it to create a golf and tennis resort, along with a yacht club here, modeled with Spanish Colonial design features. The resort is situated in Florida's central highlands just 35 minutes northwest of Orlando. Mission Inn features 36 holes of “Championship Golf” and has been nominated for “Best Resort Course” in Florida by Golf Digest. “El Campeon” or “The Champion” course was designed by Charles E. Clarke of Scotland and originally opened in 1926 and “Las Colinas” or “The Hills” course was designed by Gary Koch and opened in 1992. These two great courses have been created amongst central Florida’s rolling hills and spring-fed lakes and offer a fantastic golf experience. We do hope you’ll join us for our first event of 2012 at this popular venue.
